Robin Williams as POPEYE

Took a break from doing commish and doing the Bayan Knights and the Teen Titans tribute art. I just want to give a special tribute to the man and the cartoon character that we've grew up with.

I'm a big fan of Mr. William and I had seen most of his movies, I even remembered his Mork and Mindy T.V. series that started in 1978 and lasted till 1982 on ABC.

His role as POPEYE (which was shown back in 1980) was very memorable for me. It just convince me that the cartoon was in fact for real, based on a real person (geez...what kind of a kid am I back then...hehehe) and eating spinach would make me a strong man someday. lol

Three decades later, I saw part of the film on YOUTUBE and a lot of things from my childhood memories came back. And I remember now why in my heart Mr.Williams is my favorite actor of all time. He is so versatile. Whatever role you gave to him he'll surprise you and at the same time he will make you laugh, smile, think to love life and take things happy-positively and lightly but responsibly.

As for Popeye... Well he's "I am what I am!" person. He is my first ever know superhero with a limited powers and energy. He is a hopeless romantic and funny sailor. I had fun listening to his voice and how he talks...and hums. He made my afternoon and Saturday TV watching fun.

Ohh...lastly, I upgraded the SPINACH CAN to the present marketing weirdness. Hehehe!
